Lafayette Parish School Board District 9
Jeremy Hidalgo represents the rapidly growing areas of Milton, Youngsville, Broussard and South Lafayette on the Lafayette Parish School Board. During his term in office, District 9 has seen the funding and completion of the new Southside High School in Youngsville, the funding of the planned Billeaud Elementary School in Broussard as well as the expansion of Milton Elementary School to help meet the needs of this expanding population. But Hidalgo is most proud of the stability, transparency and accountability he has helped to bring to the School Board, which in turn creates a sounder education system for our children.
Focused on Family and community, Hidalgo is a lifelong resident of District 9 and a native of Milton where he and his wife Natalie live with their two daughters. He attended Milton Elementary and Middle Schools and graduated from Comeaux High School. Natalie Hidalgo is an esteemed 18-year veteran teacher in Lafayette Parish.
In his private life, Hidalgo is a small business owner. As a small-town entrepreneur, he really enjoys being involved in his community. He is a member of the Milton Civic Organization, Youngsville Chamber of Commerce, Youngsville Lions Club, and is a proud participant in Leadership Youngsville, class IV as well as a Leadership Lafayette (2013) and Leadership Louisiana (2022) graduate! He is also very proud to serve as a Youngsville Reserve Police Officer. Through this work and his efforts on the School Board, Hidalgo is shaping the future of a growing community.
