Jeremy Hidalgo Announces Candidacy for Lafayette Parish School Board District 9
Jeremy Hidalgo, a proven leader and former District 9 School Board Member, is stepping up once again to serve the community by announcing his candidacy for the district 9 School Board seat this upcoming October. With a track record of dedicated service, Hidalgo is committed to delivering the quality leadership that District 9 deserves.
Central to Hidalgo's vision is a strong emphasis on student achievement. He stands as a staunch advocate for teachers and support staff, recognizing their vital role in shaping the future of District 9's young minds. Hidalgo's platform extends to fostering increased parental involvement, recognizing the pivotal role parents play in their children's educational journey. Additionally, he is resolute in addressing future facility needs to ensure a conducive learning environment for all.
A lifelong resident of the district and a proud native of Milton, Hidalgo's deep-rooted connection to the community fuels his dedication. His educational journey, from Milton Elementary/Middle School to Comeaux High School, has shaped his understanding of the district's unique needs. Together with his wife Natalie Richoux Hidalgo, an esteemed 18-year veteran teacher in Lafayette Parish, they are raising two young daughters, Emily and Reagan, who are both LPSS students.
Beyond his educational commitments, Hidalgo is a small business owner and is an active force within several community organizations, including the Milton Civic Organization, Youngsville Chamber of Commerce, Knights of Columbus, and the Youngsville Lions Club. His involvement in Leadership Youngsville Class IV and his graduation from Leadership Lafayette (Class 2013) underline his commitment to personal and communal growth.
